Did anyone go to Homestead ? I think having 4 races in Fla.in the first 10 days of the new year was a bad move. With that move they pulled the May race in Daytona. That leaves 4 weekends & 5 races for the Rest of the SE guys who did not go to Fla. Plus to end our season on May 21 at Road Atlanta (3 weeks early this year) This is the Same Weekend as a Double National at Road America. Very Piss Poor Planning in the SE. Not a good way to improve car counts. That said I am better now

Barry, unless you live in South Florida. If all goes well, Peter and I should have 4 races out of the way in one week's time. That should take some pressure off. I don't feel bad about the Daytona National going away. Not my favorite venue. I am more bummed about the Roebling Double National going away. While it was always HOT, it was a good chance for the Southeast Drivers to match up before the runoffs. Sounds like business is good. mark |

Barry, What were they thinking! To have half of the SE Div Nationals the first couple of weeks of the new year is absurd. When did they cancel Daytona? Pete Peterson |

| The Double at Sebring gave Central Fla. 2 Races. I guess a single region can't host more than 2 races. So they Dropped Daytona |

Rob, What is the deal on changing divisions? You don't have to live in your division? Mid Ohio and Road America would be good! Pete |

Pete,
Based on the GCR I think it's too late since the third national in the outgoing division is already complete. You can belong to any region or multiple and you can pick one to be your region of record. You don't need to live in that region, but that is where it defaults to. From the GCR:
Change of Division. A driver may change his Division of Record by separately notifying in writing the Club Racing and the Membership Departments in the National Office, and his newly designated Region of Record in the incoming division prior to the beginning of the third National race weekend in either the incoming or the outgoing division – whichever is earlier. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that all three parties are notified within the allowed time. |

I think this was changed, from third race to third weekend - in Jan's FasTrack, page 8:
Item 4. Effective 1/1/10: Modify 3.9.1.F.4 (revised GCR) as follows: 4. |

Pete,
I ditto these guys! We would love to have you race up here with us. I plan to be back on track this year. (Be it with a very limited budget) We could use a good barbecue!! |
