1979 (Square Headlight) Rabbit, raced in G Production SCCA in 1990s.

Gutted for light weight. No bumpers, fiberglass hood, no interior - no door windows or mechanisms, etc etc. This thing probably weighs 1800lbs wet.

Drivetrain:
They run built motors (12:1 compression means it needs race gas, big cam, single 40 IDF carb, long tube header - think its a Techtonics but not sure, baffled and trap door oil pan)
Transmissions: Tight ratios, supposed to have a limited slip, apparently mainshaft bearings started to make noise. Without driving, I can't verify.

Interior:
8 Point Roll cage - bolted in, but welded together. Cage costs $1100 plus install.
Race Corbeau seat - out of date for fender-to-fender racing, but great for street or auto-x. Pad on seat back needs recover/replace. Harness belts out of date for fender-to-fender. Wired for intercom radio.
Missing the fuel cell out of the rear, but its a standard 8 gal one apparently, so should be easy to replace.
Someone robbed the carb, but any 40 IDF style one will work (DRLA Dellorto, Empi HPMX etc). Missing MSD ignition box (6A)

Exterior:
CLEAN - especially for a race car! Paint is retro 80's scallops, but in great shape. THe body is very celan and straight - one dent on the lower right rear corner.

Suspension:
Bilstien Coilovers - supposed to be BSI Racing revalved units. These cost an easy $1000-1500. HD Strut bearings which are now un-obtanium. Neuspeed front and rear swaybars. Neuspeed upper front, lower front and triangulated rear stress bar. All poly bushings everywhere.

Wheels - 13x6 Revolutions - these things are stupid lightweight.
If someone wants the additional matching 5 wheels I have, would sell with car for $2500 total.

It obviously needs a little work and TLC, but you can't build half this car for this price. And if someone wants it for IT racing or something and can't use the engine or trans or whatever, let me know, I can sell it for less without the wheels/engine etc.

Oh yeah - comes with title!
