I have the following parts for sale for Datsun A series engines
Datsun 56A 5 speed transmission with option 2 gear set complete.Gearbox has NOS gear set with two regional races on it.
Datsun 56L 4 speed transmission with option 1 gear set complete. Gearbox has NOS gear set that has not been used.
Datsun 56A 5 speed transmission with option 2 gear set complete but apart for inspection. Also have another 56A 5 speed transmission complete with option 1 gear set apart for inspection.

Are these the 1 to 1 fifth gear. Option 2 is ultra close, right?

The ratios as follows
5spd opt 1 3.76, 2.37, 1.66, 1.25, 1.00
5spd opt 2 2.68, 1.69, 1.40, 1.18, 1.00
4spd opt 1 2.86, 1.91, 1.35, 1.00 |

Lorne, these are 1 to 1 5Th gear 5 speeds. Chris has posted the gear ratios. If you have an older Datsun Comp. book the info. on the transmissions is listed. |
